Fruit Juices and Gazpachos Gain Ground Among New Year’s Resolutions for 2026
More than half of consumers have discovered the value of consuming a juice or gazpacho daily as a plan to complement the goal of 5 portions of fruit and vegetables a day.
Madrid, 13 January 2026. With the arrival of the New Year, many people set new goals and resolutions, primarily related to health and nutrition. In this context, packaged juices and gazpachos—products made of 100% fruit and vegetables—have become a convenient and tasty option that meets consumer tastes and needs.
In this context, packaged juices and gazpachos, products made of 100% fruit and vegetables, have become a convenient and tasty option that responds to the tastes and needs of the consumer.
Juices and gazpachos, products yet to be discovered
Packaged juices and gazpachos are another way to enjoy fruit and vegetables at any time and in any place. Backed by technical-scientific studies regarding their nutritional properties and production processes to contribute to a safe diet, juices and gazpachos remain, to this day, products yet to be discovered.
What some consumers and professionals are unaware of is that, in the case of fruit juices, they are 100% fruit and contain no added sugars, containing only the sugars naturally present.
For their part, gazpachos, an icon of gastronomy and the Mediterranean diet, feature top-quality fresh vegetables thanks to the combination of raw materials in optimal condition and advanced technologies throughout the entire process.
They are also very versatile products, which can be consumed not only at breakfast but also as appetisers, at brunch, lunch, afternoon snacks, and in cocktails. Their convenience, thanks to the packaged format, makes juices and gazpachos an excellent companion to be enjoyed anywhere at any time.
A recent study conducted by the National Association of Juices and Gazpachos in July 2025 revealed that 61% of consumers are aware of packaged squeezed fruit juice. However, only 35.4% confirm and know that the juice has no added sugars.
In the case of gazpachos, 69.8% claim to know traditional packaged gazpacho, and 38.5% already associate it with a healthy and balanced diet.
With European support
The National Association of Juices and Gazpachos is working, until 2027, on a campaign co-financed by the European Union to highlight the quality, diversity, and flavour of European fruit juices and gazpachos, initially in the Spanish and Portuguese markets. This project aims to be a catalyst to bring juices and gazpachos closer to consumers, integrating them as part of a balanced Mediterranean diet.
In this sense, it is important to help promote responsible consumption, boosting their intake at different times and occasions such as breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, or dinner, but also between meals or for hydration after sport.
Fruit juice and gazpacho as part of your diet
It is no novelty that the consumption of fruit and vegetables is necessary to achieve a healthy and balanced diet; however, in Europe this consumption does not reach the minimum level recommended by the WHO.
Despite the fact that there is no consensus among European health authorities regarding the daily consumption of juices and their role as a substitute for fruit, there are countries that consider 100% juice a valid source of fruit and/or vegetables, such as the United Kingdom, Ireland, and the dietary guidelines of the Nordic countries, among others.
Among professional dietitian organizations, the study on “The role of fruit juice in the diet”, conducted for the British Nutrition Foundation and included by the Spanish Nutrition Foundation (FEN), highlights that for people who do not meet fruit recommendations, fruit juices could help reach the goal of daily fruit portions.
Educating on good eating routines
The National Association of Juices and Gazpachos invites families and consumers in general to opt for packaged juices as a good option when it comes to completing the consumption of fruit and vegetables.
Although it is recommended that fruit consumption should preferably be whole fruit due to its fibre content, the FEN indicates that fruit or vegetable juice can be consumed in moderation (no more than one 150-200 ml glass per day) with the aim of reaching the recommendation of 5 portions of fruit and vegetables daily, provided that the other two portions are eaten as whole fruit.
Undoubtedly, fruit juices and gazpachos have become a natural and versatile option ideal for consumers of all ages, and for starting 2026 with good habits.
